Climping History

Climping Cottage, West Sussex

The quiet and unspoilt Strategic Rural Gap on the coast at Climping, West Sussex.

Climping is ideal for a break away from it all with open fields and the un-developed and unspoilt Climping Beach. The beach is just down the lane from Bailiffscourt Hotel & Spa, Black Horse pub and the local farm shop.

Climping is a truly wonderful location for relaxing country breaks on the South Coast, only just over an hour by car from London. Also, the weather tends to be better than many other areas in the UK, as Climping experiences its own micro-climate because of the shape of the coastline, the sea breezes and the proximity of the South Downs.

All within easy walking distance, there are many lovely dining destinations, such as Bailiffscourt Hotel, The Black Horse Inn, Climping Beach Cafe, West Beach Cafe and the Oystercatcher Pub, all of which provide excellent and varied styles of meals and atmospheres.
